Stuffed Chili goodness as a side snack to a hot cup of chai – one for those rainy monsoon days

It’s starting to become more popular here in the US as a plant based substitute for pulled meat. ⠀
But let me tell you, I am NOT NEW to the antioxidant richness of this tropical fruit â €
Jackfruit use to grow in the backyard of boarding school in Panchgani , India . It would often be plucked from the trees & served as a part of our Sunday feastâ €

More recently I seasoned Jackfruit chunks in our bestseller Master Spice Blend and added it as a filling in our tortillas ... In just 20 minutes jackfruit turned into delicious vegan tacos topped with salsa!â €
(Makes 10-12 tacos)â €
For Jackfruit filling:â €
3 cups chopped unripened jackfruit (1 piece or 2 cans of 14 Oz. each in brine or water) â €
2 tbsps mustard oilâ €
1 medium size onion sliced â €
3 cloves garlic minced â €
1 tomato chopped or 2 tbsps tomato pasteâ €
3 tbsps Master Spice Blend (order link in bio) â €
1/2 tsp saltâ €

Salt Water for boiling â €

For Tacos: â €
12 tortillas â €
1/2 cup orange 🍊 cubes ⠀
1 kiwi 🥝 ⠀
1/2 cup pickled onionsâ €
1 cup mixed peppers & beetroot sautéed in salt + chili powder⠀
1/4 cup jalapeños ⠀
1 avocado 🥑 chunks ⠀
Cilantro â €
Lime cubes
-Boil Jackfruit chunks in salt water till tender . Drain and keep aside â €
-Add oil to a pan , then garlic , onion . Sauté till translucent ⠀
-Add tomatoes or tomato paste . Cover with a lid and cook for 5 mins â €
-Add jackfruit chunks & master spice blend + salt â €
-cover with a lid and cook for 10 -15 minsâ €
-add this as a filling into the warm tortilla and other toppings â €
